HOW DO I JOIN FGHA?

To join FGHA, you can fill out our Membership Interest Form (linked in the question mark above) that will put you on our email list to receive updates on events and future meetings! You can also email us at hcfirstgenmsu@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as we are able!

DO I HAVE TO BE A FIRST-GENERATION STUDENT TO BE A MEMBER?

Anyone can join FGHA! This group is for supporting the first-generation community. If you are not a first-generation college student, but would still like to offer support, we would love to have you! 

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE FIRST-GENERATION?

If you’re among the first in your immediate family to pursue a 4-year degree, you’re first-generation! Your parent or guardian does not have their bachelor’s degree (though may have their associate’s); your sibling(s) may have their bachelor’s degree.
